Introduction
|
Slideshow XL is the ultimate solution in creating elaborate slideshows easily and fast. Show your best memories to others in the most dramatical way. You can show your pictures on your PC, but also burn them on CD to take them with you wherever you need them.
During the development of this product, we always paid much attention to simplicity, efficency, and variety so you can easily individually customize your own slideshow to match your expectations.
This file should help on your way to create your first own slideshow, as well as being a helpful reference.

The Start Dialog
|
|
Whenever you start Slideshow XL, a set of buttons ("Open Slideshow Example," "New Slideshow," "Open Slideshow," and "Delete Slideshow") appears. If you click
"Open Slideshow Example", a pre-made slideshow opens in order to show you an example of how a finished slideshow could look.

Main Menu
|
The main menu (pulldown menu) is placed on top of the program, directly below the title bar. You have access to many important functions
of the program anytime.
Clicking on a menu item makes another list of options appear.

Menu Item: Slideshow
|
Open Slideshow
A click on this item makes dialog appear, where you can load a previously edited slideshow into the program.
Just select one of the slideshows from the list and click on "Open" (In case no other
slideshows exists, the listbox will be empty).
If the list seems confusing, you can sort it by the slideshows' numbers by clicking on "sort".
Another click on "sort" causes a reversed sorting of the list.
If you like to close the dialog without loading a slideshow, click on "Cancel".
New Slideshow
Click this item if you like to create a new blank slideshow.
A dialog appears where you will be asked to enter a title for your new slideshow. Enter a fitting name and click "Ok".
If you like to close the dialog without creating a new slideshow, click on "Cancel".
Delete Slideshow
Click this item if you like to delete an existing slideshow. A selection dialog, containing a list of existing slideshows, appears.
Pick a slideshow from the list and click "Delete".
You can also delete several slideshows at once. Therefore, hold the "Ctrl" key while clicking on each slideshow you want to be deleted.
If the list seems confusing, you can sort it by the slideshows numbers by clicking on "sort".
Another click on "sort" causes a reversed sorting of the list.
If you like to close the dialog without deleting a slideshow, click on "Cancel".
If you're done selecting and clicked "Delete", you will be asked if you really want to delete the selected items.
Click "Yes" to finally delete your selected slideshows, otherwise click "No".
Slideshow Import
In case you used our program "Slideshow Pro" before and like to load your old slideshows into Slideshow XL, you can do this here.
A click on "Slideshow pro Import" opens a dialog where you can select the slideshows you would like to import.
To import a slideshow, select the drive with the slideshow's files on it from the dropdown list.
In case there are importable slideshows available on the selected drive, these will now be displayed on the list below. Then you can
check the box to the left of the slideshow you want to import.
To finish the process, click "import".
If you like to close the dialog without importing a slideshow, click on "Cancel".
The import function creates new files for the imported slideshows, so Slideshow XL won't need the original files anymore. So if you like
them to be deleted automatically, check the box "Delete after import".
Once the import process finished successfully, a note window appears which you can close by clicking "Ok".
The slideshow you imported is now loaded and you can edit it.
Exit Program
A click on this item closes the program.

Menu Item: Language
|
You can select one of the following languages here:
- German
- English
- Italian
- Spanish
- French
To change the language, the program must be restarted. A click on one of the languages exits Slideshow XL.
The next time you start Slideshow XL, the selected language will be active.
